    The Group 1 Liwa Oasis is the feature event of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club's penultimate meeting of the season on Sunday. The 1400m contest for Purebred Arabians carries a purse of AED 250,000 with a strong field of 14 set to face the starter.

    The Julio Peromingo-trained Aberfeldy who won the race last year will be defending her crown with Wayne Smith booked for the ride.

    The Commercial Bank Of Dubai sponsor their second racemeeting at Meydan this weekend, a six-race card starting at 6.35pm highlighted by the Al Dana Wealth turf handicap worth $175,000 over 2000m.

    Twelve have been declared with South African Mike De Kock responsible for both Anaerobio and Rerouted. The former will be having his fifth 2012 Dubai World Cup Carnival outing and will be ridden by Mirco Demuro, while Kevin Shea partners Rerouted who will be having his fourth start at Meydan and is running for the third consecutive week.

    The Commercial Bank Of Dubai sponsored Thursday evening's Dubai World Cup Carnival meeting at Meydan, and it was another memorable night for the Godolphin team with Frankie Dettori in treble form and both their trainers saddling doubles.

    Silvestre De Sousa was in the saddle on Do It All who made all the running in the Group 2 Zabeel Mile, over 1,600m on turf. Originally the first reserve, he was granted a berth when Rock Jock was withdrawn and Saeed bin Suroor's charge took full advantage to win at the third time of asking in the UAE.

    The 1,600m Group 2 Zabeel Mile is the official feature on a high-class Dubai World Cup Carnival meeting at Meydan on Thursday, which also includes the Group 3 Nad Al Sheba Trophy over 2,810m.

    At a meeting kindly sponsored by the Commercial Bank Of Dubai, both features are on the turf and have attracted the maximum field of 12.
