The tongue tie on MAHFOOZAH W’RSAN (AE) broke whilst in the parade ring and therefore permission was granted for the filly to race without its approved racing gear. On arriving at the barrier stalls the saddle on DHABABAH (AE) had to be adjusted. AR AMASI (AE), MARAM ALSARAYA (AE) and MOONA W’RSAN (AE) were all slow to begin. JAP ELKOOTHAR (AE) raced greenly throughout and lay inwards approaching the 400 metres. JAP AL REEM (AE) shifted outwards approaching the 400 metres.

Acting on a report from trainer Mr H Al Aalawi (FYLTHY RICH [US]), who stated that the horse had become cast in its stable box several days ago, the veterinary officer examined FYLTHY RICH (US) and reported that, the horse had abrasions to both front legs however was suitable to race. RB CALUMBO (US) was slow to stride. TAYR AL ABABIL (AE) commenced awkwardly. TAYR AL ABABIL (AE) suffered a bleeding attack during the running of the race. According to ERA Instruction 30(i),(iii)&(iv), TAYR AL ABABIL (AE) will not be permitted to exercise, train or race for a period of 21 days, and following must complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the ERA stewards or veterinary officer. Jockey R Mullen (PRISM [AE]) was issued with a warning under the provisions of ERA Instruction 8(ii)(c)(vi) for using the whip on his mount with excessive frequency.
