NA’AMOOS (FR) – (P Dobbs): When questioned regarding the disappointing performance rider advised that the horse was under pressure approaching the 800 metres and dropped back through the field quickly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering from cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer Mr. N Samiri was notified that prior to the horse entering to race again it must perform a satisfactory gallop in the presence of an ERA veterinary officer and lodge a veterinary report stating that horse is displaying normal ECG after the gallop. Further, the official gallop may only be performed fourteen (14) days after today’s race. RB CALUMBO (US) – (G Phillips): After being placed in the barrier, became fractious getting down and out in front of the stall. The horse was withdrawn at 5.00pm by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice. Trainer Mr S Al Mazrouei was notified that prior to the horse being entered to race again it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. AL TAREQ (AE) – (H Crouch): Bumped heavily approaching the 1400 metres and then raced greenly throughout. AL SAHRAA (AE) – (C Hayes): Approaching the 1400 metres was bumped heavily by another runner and became unbalanced. HOOR AL AIN (AE) – (D Probert): Raced wide without cover throughout. RASEKH (FR) – (S Mazur): Commenced extremely awkwardly and then veered in the sharply. Raced greenly throughout. General: Trainer A Al Mehairbi (AS ADAID (AE)) was fined AED 500 under the provisions of ERA Rule 51(vii) for the late declaration to run the horse in blinkers. AS ADAID (AE) raced in blinkers.
