About Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club

Originally costructed in 1982 under the supervision of His Excellency Sheikh Abdulla bin Majid Al Qasimi. The first race took place in 1983. Following instructions by the ruler of Sharjah His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a programme to renovate the track began in 1995 and has recently been completed. This has included the construction of a new grandstand and the redesigning of the racetrack.
