Career Profile Born on May 24, 1968, Gary Hind returned to the Emirates for the 2002/2003 to ride for Jebel Ali based trainer Allan Smith and winning the UAE jockey's championship with 46 winners. His biggest success to date came on Medaaly in the 1996 Group I Racing Post Trophy however he has enjoyed a number of feature successes during his period in the Emirates. His major thoroughbred successes in the Emirates have been the National Day Cup (Diffident [1997]), HH The President Cup (Diffident [1998] and Susu [1999]), Al Maktoum Challenge Rd I (Spindrift [1999]), Al Maktoum Challenge Rd II (Cezanne [1994]), Al Maktoum Challenge Rd III (Cezanne [1994] and Spindrift [1999]), Jebel Ali Sprint (Conroy [2002]), Mahab Al Shimaal (Conroy [2002]) and the Nad Al Sheba Mile (Lost Soldier [1995]). Hind is currently retained by trained Mazin Al Kurdi.
