Career Profile Stanley Chin was born on 20th July 1974 in Hong Kong and was champion apprentice in 1991, his first ride came on December 1st 1990 with his first winner coming three months later. During the summer of 1997 and 1998 Chin came to England to ride for mark Johnston, during that period he also rode in Germany and Sweden, winning the Grosser Dallmayr-Preis (Gr.I) and the Swedish Derby. In the early 1999 Chin was implicated in a betting coup in Hong Kong and was handed a jail sentence. He has done well to regain his form as a leading jockey and spent the summer riding work for Aidan O'Brien. Over the summer of 2003 Chin travelled to German to win the Grosser Dallmayr-Preis with Ransom O'War. This winter he has spent in Dubai as stable jockey for Mark Johnston during the Dubai International Racing Carnival.
