When blocked passing the 250m MOSTABSHIR (IRE) (C Arnold) was taken outwards carrying KIRTHAR (USA) (P Smith) out onto MEDIA STORY (USA) with those two horses having to be steadied. In this incident JAMRR (IRE) (S Hamel) was impeded. Jockey C Arnold was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under ERA 69 (i) and was subsequently suspended from riding in races for one day (20 April 2003 at Abu Dhabi, deferred under ERA 99 (ii) to the first meeting of the 2003/2004 UAE racing season) and fined AED 1000.
