Jockey D Biggs reported that ASHEER (FR) mis-strode mid race and had then raced poorly. A subsequent veterinary inspection revealed nothing amiss. CIRCUS (GB) (R Mullen) was slow to begin. Stewards enquired into interference suffered by SS QUICK CAT (USA) (D Biggs) near the 800m. It was ascertained that INBHAAR (USA) (G Hind) had rolled in and crowded CELTIC TOUCH (NZ) (J Murtagh) which in turn caused SS QUICK CAT (USA) to be restrained from its heels. Stewards accepted the explanation of the riders involved and took no further action. A subsequent veterinary inspection of INBHAAR (USA) revealed the horse had cut its mouth. A veterinary inspection of SPANISH BELLS (GB) (T O'Shea), which finished distanced, revealed nothing amiss. Apprentice T Naughton reported that FRATERNITY (GB) was inclined to lug outwards throughout. Jockey S Hamel (FIGUREHEAD GB)) was indisposed after this race and was relieved of his remaining engagement.
