Near the 700m WARPEDSENSEOFHUMOUR (USA) (D Biggs) eased when LITTLETON TZAR (IRE) (P Hanagan) rolled inwards. DULCET SPEAR (GB) raced erratically in the straight with jockey N Ismailov having no control over the gelding and dropping his off side rein near the 50m. This inconvenienced LITTLETON TZAR (IRE). Jockey N Ismailov was advised that his provisional jockey licence was withdrawn.

Stewards considered a request from trainer Mr M Al Kurdi that jockey T Durcan replace jockey B Doyle on FIGHT (USA). Stewards acceded to this request but ruled that B Doyle be paid a riding fee of AED 275. SAXE (GB) (L Bester) was slow into stride. TROPICAL STAR (IRE) (R Mullen) was unruly in the stalls. When questioned R Mullen advised that the horse had been restive in the stall but had jumped well, then baulked and then had been reluctant to stride. He believed that the gelding might have a tender mouth. MORAFIJ (GER) (P Smith) raced wide in the middle stages. RED ASTAIRE (NZ) (C Avery) raced erratically over final 300m. Jockey M Hussey reported that ATTLEE (USA) was inclined to jump shadows in the back straight.
