TRONASONIC (US) (J Panas) raced greenly in the early stages. At the 1200m DJANITI (FR) (G Hind) clipped the heels of JEST DEW IT (US) (R Moore) and fell. On enquiry it was established that RAGGASS (FR) (D Hayse), which had been racing keenly, was bumped slightly by STOKES BAY (US) (R Mullen) on its outside and had rolled in tightening JEST DEW IT (US). As a result JEST DEW IT (US), which had been inclined to lay inwards, shifted inwards causing DJANITI (FR) to strike its heels and fall dislodging jockey G Hind. In considering this Stewards were of the opinion it was a racing incident.
