When making the crossing near the 1850m AL MUFADDAL (AE) veered inwards sharply breaking through the running rail and dislodging jockey D Hayse. Trainer Mr J Frazier was advised that AL MUFADDAL (AE) must perform a satisfactory track gallop in the presence of the Stewards prior to racing again. Following the running of this race jockey D Hayse was examined by the Club's Medical Officer and was declared unfit to fulfill his remaining riding obligations.

Trainer Mr R Bouresly was fined AED 200 for failing to declare a tongue on ST EXPEDIT (GB). DUBAI SQUIRE (USA) (J Panas) was fractious in the paddock and cast its off hind plate. This had to be re-set necessitating a delay of several minutes. Apprentice Ajtebi rider of the 5th placed MUGHARREB (USA) lodged an objection against the 2nd placed MODRIK (USA) (T O'Shea) alleging interference prior to straightening. After hearing initial evidence stewards acting under the provisions of ERA 78 (v) gave leave for Apprentice Ajtebi to withdraw his objection. SIR EDWIN LANDSEER (USA) (T Naughton) commenced awkwardly and bumped MESHTY (IRE) (G Hind). Shortly after DUBAI STATUS (USA) (R Mullen) shifted inwards slightly, crowding SIR EDWIN LANDSEER (USA) onto MESHTY (IRE) which made contact with the hindquarters of ST EXPEDIT (GB) (H Yuce) and lost ground. SIR EDWIN LANDSEER (USA) returned with a laceration to its off fore leg.
