In light of the horse's previous record stewards advised Mr P Rudkin that MAJAARAT (IRE) would be restricted to entries for races at Abu Dhabi and Jebel Ali and straight courses only.

RUSSIAN RELATION (USA) (J Panas) could not be loaded and was withdrawn at 9:29 pm. In light of the poor record of RUSSIAN RELATION (USA) trainer Mr R Simpson was advised that the gelding must complete three satisfactory stalls tests before being entered to race. LANZADOR (ARG) (R Mullen) threw his head on jumping and refused to race in the early stages. DUBAI SUN (IRE) (M Fenton) jumped awkwardly. STRATEMANN (GB) (D Stamp) raced wide throughout. SUDDEN SQUALL (USA) (A Ajtebi) raced erratically in the straight. General Report Race 1 - No 4 SOUSSOF (FR) C Avery replaced S O'Gorman. Riders Agent Mrs L Avery was fined AED 275 for negligence for naming a rider who could not make the weight. Race 5 - Stewards inquired into a report from Clerk of the Scales Mr Y Mabrouk that jockey P Dobbs (DUBAI VISION [FR]) had attempted to weigh out with a non-regulation body protector. Jockey Dobbs was permitted to ride 0.5kg overweight with the correct apparel but weighed in 1kg in excess of this amount. He was subsequently suspended from riding in races for 3 days (December 16, 18 at Nad Al Sheba and December 19 at Abu Dhabi) and fined the sum of AED 2000. Further he was fined the sum of AED 750 under ERA 65 (ii) for weighing in 1kg overweight.
