Approaching the 1200m OCEAN STAR (GB) (R Mullen) lay inwards and crowded FATEK (IRE) (J Panas) which in turn shifted inwards and caused BOSRA'S VALENTINE (USA) (G Hind) to be restrained. At the same time ETOILE DE MOSCOW (IRE) (M Hussey) steadied and then hung out across the heels of HAZELHATCH (GB) (D Stamp) bumping heavily with ARCH OF LIGHT (GB) (C Avery) and carrying that gelding wide. RAISOOT (USA) (J Moriarty) which was following had to be restrained. Jockey M Hussey stated that the gelding had cornered badly and had initiated the move. Stewards were satisfied that the initial incident was caused by OCEAN STAR (GB) laying inwards despite the efforts of jockey R Mullen. Jockey G Hind was questioned regarding his riding of BOSRA'S VALENTINE (USA) in the straight. He stated that after racing prominently he had struck the colt twice with the whip and when believing that it was labouring he had only slapped it on the shoulder with the whip over the final 200m. Jockey G Hind was reminded that he was expect to show a certain level of vigour until the end of a race. Jockey S Chin (SYLVANITE [USA]) was fined AED 500 for using his whip with his arm extended above shoulder height. A post race veterinary inspection of MY PELASURE (GB) (T Durcan) revealed nothing amiss.
