Stewards' Reports for Liwa Oasis
VELTE (US) (R Mullen) was examined by the club's veterinary officer at the start and was declared unfit to start. VELTE (US) was subsequently withdrawn at 8.29pm. Trainer Mr A Laird was advised that VETLE (US) would require a veterinary certificate of soundness before being permitted to enter VELTE (US) to race again. Passing the 250m URA VISION (US) (R Ffrench) shifted inwards causing SHIJA (AE) strike the heels of that horse and blunder dislodging jockey G Hind. On enquiry jockey R Ffrench was found guilty of careless riding and was subsequently suspended from riding in races for 2 days (Friday March 31 at Sharjah Equestrian & Racing Club and Sunday April 2 at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club). Following the running of this race jockey G Hind was examined by the club's medical officer and declared unfit to race and was relieved of his remaining riding obligations.
