Trainer Mr D Watson was advised that FIRST VIEW (USA) must pass a stalls test prior to being entered to race again. CALMANT (USA) blundered on jumping with jockey G Hind becoming unbalanced. TORCH DANCE (USA) (T O'Shea) was slow into stride. Approaching the 1400m JAFFAL (USA) (A Ajtebi) rolled inwards causing PRIDE OF BAGHDAD (USA) (K O'Hara) to make contact with ZAHOOM (USA) (R Sasso). ONESHOTTWOLIONS (IRE) (S Golam) raced wide throughout. CALMANT (USA) returned with a laceration to its left fore heel.

NOOSHMAN (USA) (J Panas) dwelt on jumping losing considerable ground. Trainer Mr R Simpson was advised that he must attempt to improve the starting manners of NOOSHMAN (USA) prior to the gelding racing again. DEODATUS (USA) (T O'Shea) was slow into stride. PARASOL (IRE) (G Birrer) which began to tire at the 800m was eased out of the race near the 400m. When questioned regarding the performance of PARASOL (IRE) jockey G Birrer explained that after being passed by runners near the 800m he felt that gelding's action had faltered and had decided to ease PARASOL (IRE) out of the race as he believed the gelding to be injured. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no signs of injury. Trainer Mr D Watson advised that a further post race endoscopic examination showed the gelding to have significant mucopus in the trachea. DEODATUS (USA) and CLASP (GB) (T Durcan) brushed on several occasions over the final 50m.

SHAFEEQ (FR) (M Tarhan) commenced awkwardly. HARRISON POINT (USA) (B Yamzon) raced wide over the final 800m. TANGERIANO (ARG) (S Cheam) was momentarily held up on straightening. Approaching the 400m SYDENHAM (USA) (A Aldyeesh) when struck with the whip, shifted inwards onto KAWAREB (GB) (A Ajteb). At the same time SHAFEEQ (FR) which was racing to the inside of KAWAREB (GB) had attempted to take a marginal run between that colt and BETTER MIX (USA) (R Simons). Shortly after this SHAFEEQ (FR) had to be steadied for several strides and was the buffeted between KAWAREB (GB) and BETTER MIX (USA). Apprentice A Aldyeesh was advised that he must have better control of his mounts when attempting to use the whip in future.
