Jockey J Egan replaced jockey A Suborics on NEAR DOCK (GER) following a request from the new owner. Stewards ruled that jockey A Suborics was entitled to a riding fee plus any percentages. Passing the 450m BRUNEL (IRE) (K McEvoy) lay inwards with EYJUR (USA) (M Kinane) shifting inwards from that horse and crowding the tiring CHECKIT (IRE) (G Hind) which had to be restrained. On enquiry it was established that BRUNEL (IRE) had lay inwards away from SEIHALI (IRE) (J Murtagh) with EYJUR (USA) shying and compounding the incident. Jockey J Bekker reported that KEY OF DESTINY (SAF) was inclined to hang inwards throughout the race.

IQTE SAAB (USA) (R Hills) was withdrawn, by order of the stewards, at 10:37pm when refusing to enter the stalls. Trainer Mr D Watson was advised that IQTE SAAB (USA) was placed on the starter's list and must a pass 2 satisfactory stalls test before being entered to race again. SABIRLI (TUR) (H Karatas) proved difficult to load and kicked a stalls handler. SABIRLI (TUR) was subsequently withdrawn, by order of the stewards, at 10:40pm. Trainer Mr C Kurt was advised that SABIRLI (TUR) was placed on the starter's list and must a pass a satisfactory stalls test before being entered to race again. CAESAR BEWARE (IRE) (T Durcan) dwelt at the start losing ground.
