When proceeding to the start DRAMATIC EDGE (USA) dislodged jockey C Avery. DRAMATIC EDGE (USA) then proved difficult to load delaying the start by several minutes. Trainer Mr A Al Raihe was advised that DRAMATIC EDGE (USA) would be required to stalls test prior to being entered to race again. KEEP (USA) (C Arnold) was unruly in the gates prior to the start. FIRST VIEW (USA) (R Mullen) jumped with its head in the air and lost ground. DRAMATIC EDGE (USA) was slow to begin. Running to the 1200m FIRST VIEW (USA) which was racing fiercely shifted inwards crowding IROQUOIAN (USA) (W Mason). ZVAKARE (ZIM) (T Durcan) was inclined to lay inwards in the straight. KAWAREB (GB) (R Hills) tired badly finishing a distant last. A post race veterinary inspection of the horse revealed no abnormalities.

Trainer M Al Muhairi was advised that GLAD MASTER (GER) would be required to stalls test prior to being entered to race again. TABLEAU (USA) (P Smullen) jumped awkwardly losing ground. Running to the 1200m TAKHIM (IRE) (R Ffench) which was racing fiercely, veered outwards when restraining off the heels of BOUNTY QUEST (GB) (R Smith) and inconvenienced ALMARAM (USA) (J Murtagh). At the same stage AL MOULATHAM (GB) (S Gorey) threw its head in the air and shifted out several horses to avoid the heels of BORREGO (IRE) (R Moore) with CHANNEL FOUR (USA) (R Mullen) and DUBAI VISION (FR) (D Smith) being taken wide on the track.

After being loaded in the stalls GALFAR (GB) (T O'Shea) got its head under the front gate and escaped riderless. GALFAR (GB) was subsequently withdrawn by order of Stewards at 5.01pm. Trainer Mr E Charpy was advised that GALFAR (GB) would be required to stalls test prior to being entered to race again. Apprentice S Gorey [MBOSI (USA)] was warned in relation to using his whip with his arm extended above shoulder height. Jockey G Hind was unable to ride QIXL (NZ) out in the straight. Jockey G Hind was subsequently examined by the clubs medical officer and was ascertained to be suffering from muscle soreness in the chest. Jockey G Hind was advised that he would require a medical clearance prior to riding again. General Report Race 2 Trainer A Al Raihe was fined AED 250 for presenting RUMPOLD (GB) with its incorrect gear. Race 4 Jockey W Mason replaced jockey G Hind on IROQUOIAN (USA). Jockey G Hind was reprimanded for being unable to make the weight.
