FLOWER STAE (GB) (T Durcan) which was in the adjacent starting stall was impeded in this incident and lost considerable ground. Trainer Mr E Charpy was advised that FIGHTING TOM CAT (USA) would be placed on the Starters' List and must complete a satisfactory stalls test before being permitted to enter to race again. Passing the 1000m DAHTEER (IRE) (J Murtagh) shifted outwards causing MBOSI (USA) (R Ffrench) to momentarily steady, MBOSI (USA) was then impeded for clear running until passing the 800m. NAMORADO (BRZ) (G Hind) tended to shift ground over the final 200m.
