FIRST VIEW (USA) (W Supple) commenced awkwardly and pulled hard near the 1400m. Passing the 1100m, VANISHING ACT (USA) (R Ffrench) had to be steadied off the heels of RUE MAZARINE (IRE) (M Dwyer). TABREED (AUS) (P Dobbs) raced wide throughout. Approaching the 400m SENLIS (JPN) (T Durcan) was held up for clear running. Shortly after this, ZVAKARE (ZIM) (R Moore) shifted outwards and bumped with SYLVANITE (USA) (W Smith) on several occasions. LITERATOR (FR) (D Badel) had a tendency to lay inwards over the final 200m and was impeded for room over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the improved performance of ZVAKARE (ZIM), Trainer S Seemar was of the opinion that the gelding had appreciated today's faster surface.

GO SPEED (FR) (B Yamzon) was slow to begin. Jockey M Dwyer reported that he believed MUSAHIM (USA) had choked down on running. A post race veterinary examination of SHIHAB (IND) (W Smith) revealed no abnormalities. When questioned regarding the performance of SHIHAB (IND), assistant trainer Mr B Seemar advised that the colt had been working well and was of the opinion SHIHAB (IND) may not have been suited to racing at Jebel Ali. He further advised that it was the stable's intention to review the colt's training in an effort to find improved race performances. SALMAN (AUS) (P Eddery) returned with a cut to its right hind.
