ALAMA (AE) (T O'Shea) shifted out at the start bumping GRP KORTBESA GHANTOOT (AE) (X Ziani) with that filly then shifting outwards causing THROB (AE) (T Durcan) to be steadied from the heels of CAVALRY (AE) (W Smith). AS ULFAT (AE) (A Laguinto) shifted in at the start and momentarily impeded MAZAJ (AE) (L Bester). LAILA (AE) (D Badel) jumped awkwardly having to be steadied. Making the turn out of the straight the first time AS ULFAT (AE) commenced to lay outwards and inconvenienced GRP RENA GHANTOOT (AE) (W Supple). Jockey A Laguinto (AS ULFAT [AE]) was advised that he must make greater efforts to straighten his mount when they shift ground. LAILA (AE) was held up for clear running on straightening and shifted outwards making contact with THROB (AE). AF MUTAZ (AE) (D O'Donohoe) raced very greenly in running. Trainer Mr J Salman was advised that the gelding would not be permitted to race for a period of 3 weeks.

THRUST (AE) was subsequently withdrawn by order of the stewards at 7:01 pm. Trainer Dr J Bittar was advised that THRUST (AE) would be required to complete 2 satisfactory stalls test prior to being permitted to be entered to race again. HAZEM (AE) (R Ffrench) and MARGAM (AE) (A Ajtebi) were slow to begin. THAYER (AE) (S Al Taleei) raced greenly in running and shifted outwards in the straight inconveniencing AF SANE (AE) (M Dwyer). Apprentice S Al Taleei (THAYAR [AE]) was advised that she must make greater efforts to straighten her mount when they shift ground.
