Trainer Mr A Al Raihe was advised that QASSIM DE CARRERE (FR) would require a veterinary clearance prior to being entered to race again. Whilst proceeding to the starting gates, the reigns on CHINOIS AL MAURY (FR) (T Durcan) broke and were subsequently replaced at the start. GHANNAM AL BAWADI (SY) (W Smith) reared on jumping and lost ground. MASAADDER (GB) (M Zouar) shifted in at the start and bumped ELA'ASOOF (FR) (G Birrer) with that horse then shifting inwards and making heavy contact with SKIBBEREEN (FR) (A Nicholls) which had to be steadied off the heels of KARMEN CS (US) (C Kerton). CHINOIS AL MAURY (FR) had a tendency to shift ground in the straight. ELA'ASOOF (FR) hung outwards in running.
