COLUMBIA (AE) (J Rosales) was fractious in the gates. Trainer Dr J Bittar was advised that the filly would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. COLUMBIA (AE) shifted in on jumping and bumped RA'ED (AE) (K Jupp) which in turn shifted inwards making contact with JAP BASHEER (AE) (A De Sousa) with that colt having to be restrained. JAP BASHEER (AE) then raced greenly throughout. AF ASASI (AE) (R Cleary) veered outwards at the start. ASSOOF (AE) dwelt on jumping. Jockey C Taylor reported that the saddle on RS SHAH JAHAN (AE) had shifted in running and had placed him in some difficulty when riding the horse out. An inquiry into the racing plates worn by the S Deeb trained ASSOOF (AE) was adjourned to a date to be fixed.

Stewards' Reports for Abu Dhabi Fillies Classic - Sorouh
HAMIA (AE) was a late withdrawal at 5.30pm by order of the Stewards after it was established that the incorrect horse had been brought to the track. Trainer Mrs G Duffield was fined AED 3000 for negligence under ERA Rule 9 (xvi) (b) in that she presented the wrong horse to race as HAMIA (AE). RS HAYFA (AE) (J Rosales) was hard to load. Trainer Dr J Bittar was advised that he must attempt to rectify the filly's starting gate manners prior to being entered into race again. INTISAR (AE) (R Mullen) jumped awkwardly and shifted inwards onto EARLY MORNING (AE) (D Naik) with that filly then bumping AF KALRAJM (AE). The saddle on AF AQAYED (AE) shifted forward shortly after the start placing jockey G Birrer at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race. EARLY MORNING (AE) and NIMA (AE) (K Jupp) raced greenly in the early stages and made contact with each other on several occasions. Near the 600m, GRP BAYNOONA (AE) (A Ajtebi) had to be eased when tightened for room between EARLY MORNING (AE) and NIMA (AE). EARLY MORNING (AE) lay inwards in the straight.

ALL IVORY (GB) (T Durcan) and QUEBEC CITIZEN (BRZ) (W Smith) bumped at the start. MANDOBI (IRE) (R Cleary) was buffeted between LAYAZAAL (IRE) (A Nicholls) and JET PAST (SAF) (R Mullen) on jumping and lost ground. Approaching the 1000m EARL'S COURT (GB) (G Avranche) was buffeted between MANDOBI (IRE) and MUKAFEH (USA) (T O'Shea). On enquiry, it was established that at this stage of the race MANDOBI (IRE), which was racing on the inside of EARL'S COURT (GB) had been racing keenly and had shifted outwards, at the same time MUKAFEH (USA) was also traveling strongly on the outside of EARL'S COURT (GB) and had rolled inwards when held tight by TERRA VERDE (IRE) (R Ffrench). After considering the evidence, Stewards were of the opinion that the interference received by EARL'S COURT (GB) was a combination of factors and that blame could not be attributed to any one rider. EVALUATOR (IRE) (A Ajtebi) hung outwards throughout and near the 600m started to shift ground and on straightening carried TERRA VERDE (IRE) extremely wide on the track. Passing the 400m PUBLIC FORUM (GB) (G Birrer) shifted inwards carrying QUEBEC CITIZEN (BRZ) in onto ALL IVORY (GB) with that gelding having to be steadied. On enquiry, Jockey G Birrer (PUBLIC FORUM [GB]) was reprimanded for failing to straighten his mount when it shifted ground. STARPIX (FR) (K Latham) was impeded for clear running near the 350m. Approaching the 100m BIANCONI (SAF) shifted inwards and crowded JET PAST (SAF) (R Mullen) onto PUBLIC FORUM (GB). On enquiry, Jockey P Quinn (BIANCONI [SAF]) was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under ERA Rule 69(i) and was subsequently suspended from riding in races for one day (Nad Al Sheba, 20th December 2007). Passing the 100m, LAYAZAAL (IRE) shifted outwards and bumped STARPIX (FR) which then made contact to the hind quarters of EARL'S COURT (GB). A post race veterinary examination of EVALUATOR (IRE) revealed the gelding to have a cut mouth. EARL'S COURT (GB) returned with a cut to its left fore and also having lost its left fore plate.
