CS PATRIARCH (GB) (C Taylor) was hard to load. Trainer Mr F Nizamuddin was advised that CS PATRIARCH (GB) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. SALSABILE (FR) (W Supple) was slow into stride. MUTARASED II (GB) (M Dwyer) raced wide throughout. At the turn into the straight PONY EXPRESS HIPOLYTE (FR) (G Birrer) had to be steadied off the heels of SALSABILE (FR). Making the turn into the straight, SHIJA (AE) (J Rosales) which was racing keenly shifted out and made contact with AS NAJM (AE) (T Durcan) which was then eased and bumped AL NAB'A (AE) (D O'Donohoe). Near the 400m AHEL (FR) (R Cleary) shifted outwards and bumped MURAWIH (FR) (T O'Shea). Passing the 250m AL NAB'A (AE) attempted a marginal run to the inside of SCHEHERAZADE MONLAU (FR) (D Smith) and in doing so made contact with SHIJA (AE). Shortly after this AL NAB'A (AE) had to be restrained when tightened for room after SCHEHERAZADE MONLAU (FR) (D Smith) had rolled inwards momentarily. Near the 200m LAMEAA (FR) (R Mullen) mis-strode and shifted inwards tightening TASHREEFAT (GB) (R Hills) causing that mare to be steadied and lose ground. SCHEHERAZADE MONLAU (FR) returned with a cut to its right hind.

FUEGUINO (ARG) (R Cleary) was slow intro stride. VANISHING ACT (USA) (R Ffrench) was slow to begin and then raced wide throughout. Near the 1000m NARVIK (IRE) (T Durcan) rolled inwards causing AMANDUS (USA) (D O'Donohoe) to be steadied. SAMA DUBAI (AUS) (C Kerton) lay outwards in the straight. A post race veterinary examination of the disappointing LAYAZAAL (IRE) (R Hills) revealed no abnormalities.

An objection was lodged by Jockey T O'Shea, rider of the 2nd placed SHADIYDA (FR) alleging interference against the winner, NADIR DU BAC (FR) (R Ffrench) over the final 150m. After considering the evidence of both riders and reviewing the race patrol film the Stewards were of the opinion that whilst NADIR DU BAC (FR) had shifted outwards in the straight and had inconvenienced SHADIYDA (FR) inside the final 50m they were not satisfied that had the interference not occurred SHADIYDA (FR) would have beaten NADIR DU BAC (FR), as such the objection was dismissed. MABRUM (GB) (R Hills) and ORDOKI (FR) (J Rosales) raced keenly in the early stages. Passing the 150m NADIR DU BAC (FR) commenced to shift outwards and near the 50m inconvenienced SHADIYDA (FR). On enquiry Jockey R Ffrench (NADIR DU BAC [FR]) was warned for failing to straighten his mount when it shifted ground.
