AL OBIA AL THALETHA (AE) (D O'Donohoe) was eased out of the race near the 1200m. When questioned regarding this, Jockey D O'Donohoe stated that the mare had felt short in its action and believed the mare may be injured. A post race veterinary examination of AL OBIA AL THALETHA (AE) revealed no abnormalities. MARBLING NIMBUS (AU) (W Rafiq) hung outwards making the turn into the straight. JAHAZAH (AE) (T Smith) raced greenly in the straight.

RS TASNIM (AE) (W Rafiq) was slow to begin. AF SARH'AA (AE) (P Devlin) and MUHAL (OM) (A Al Siyabi) bumped at the start, AF SARH'AA (AE) (P Devlin) then commenced to race ungenerously in the early stages. Approaching the 900m, YOUSSEF (FR) which was racing greenly shifted outwards making contact with RS NAJID (US) (D Naik) which then bumped with CHINOIS AL MAURY (FR) (L Bester) which was racing to its outside. When questioned regarding the run of ADA BLACK RAMSES (DE), Jockey K Latham stated that he horse was reluctant to race competitively at any stage of the race.

AL NAB'A (AE) (M Dwyer) jumped awkwardly. SALSABILE (FR) (R Mullen) commenced awkwardly and shifted outwards bumping with ZATALITE (US) (L Jones). MILAN GHANTOOT (AE) (P Quinn) raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Approaching the 900m, ADEEM (AE) (S Al Taleei) bumped with AL NAB'A (AE) and then shifted outwards making contact with MURAWIH (FR) (T O'Shea). Shortly after this the saddle on ZATALITE (US) shifted sideways placing jockey L Jones in some difficulty, this resulted in ZATALITE (US) losing ground quickly.
