Near the 1400m, NADIR DU BAC (FR) (R Ffrench) steadied away from BILLAMUNAZZE (AE) (W Supple) and in doing so shifted inwards onto AHEL (FR) (R Cleary) which got its head in the air and shifted inwards tightening MUWASELL (AE) (A Ajtebi). Near the 300m NADIR DU BAC (FR) when attempting a run to the outside of SHARAKKA (GB) (R Hills) bumped on several occasions with AL TAREEK (GB) (A Nicholls). Jockey R Ffrench (NADIR DU BAC [FR]) was warned in relation to using his whip with his arm extended above shoulder height.

Trainer Mr E Charpy was advised that SEEKING AN ALIBI (USA) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. Trainer Mr S Seemar was advised that VERY FAR (USA) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. Shortly after the start when crossing to the outside rail, SLEEPING WEAPON (USA) (D O'Donohoe) had to be eased from the heels of SEEKING AN ALIBI (USA). Shortly after this, near the 1000m, SLEEPING WEAPON (USA) was again restrained when tightened for room to the inside of SEEKING AN ALIBI (USA). On enquiry, Jockey D O'Donohoe explained that SLEEPING WEAPON (USA) had contributed to this incident by pulling its way up to the inside of SEEKING AN ALIBI (USA).
