Jockey C Taylor reported that IBN ABEYA (AE) raced greenly throughout.

AF RAKIZA (AE) (A Nicholls) and AF KANZ (AE) (R Ffrench) bumped on jumping. Making the turn into the straight AF RAKIZA (AE) (A Nicholls) which was racing greenly, shifted inwards quickly carrying ALAMA (AE) (G Avranche) in onto AS MUHEEB (AE) (W Smith) with that gelding having to be steadied and lose ground. Approaching the 100m, CAVALRY (AE) (D Badel) commenced to lay inwards and in doing so tightened AF RAKIZA (AE) onto ALAMA (AE) which had to be eased. Shortly after this, CAVALRY (AE) continued to shift inwards resulting in AF RAKIZA (AE) having to be steadied. On enquiry, the Stewards reprimanded Jockey D Badel (CAVALRY [AE]) for failing to straighten his mount after it had commenced to shift ground. Jockeys D Badel and M Henry were both fined AED 200 under ERA Rule 1(xiv)(a) for being late into the paddock.

Prior to being loaded into the starting gates, AHEL (FR) reared and dislodged Jockey M Phillips. During this incident it was identified that the ring bit in combination with the bridle being used by AHEL (FR) was of an unsuitable size and was therefore deemed unsafe to be used in a race. AHEL (FR) was subsequently withdrawn by order of stewards at 6:29pm. After enquiring into this incident, the Stewards were satisfied with the explanation of Trainer Mr S Deeb, although he was advised that he must ensure all horses are presented to race with gear that is fitted correctly. PALAPAL (GB) (R Ffrench) commenced awkwardly and lost ground. SILVERRADO (US) (D Badel) was slow into stride.

When attempting to mount RS INAAM (AE) in the paddock, Jockey D Badel was kicked in the lower back by that colt. RS INAAM (AE) then became extremely fractious and was subsequently withdrawn by order of stewards at 6:58pm. Trainer Dr J Bittar was advised that the colt would be required to complete satisfactory paddock schooling prior to being entered to race again. When attempting to mount MUSIRR (AE), Jockey M Henry was kicked in his right arm by that colt. Jockey M Henry was examined by the on-course medical officer and declared unfit to fulfill his riding engagements and was subsequently replaced by Jockey W Matee on MUSIRR (AE). AL AZM (AE) raced greenly throughout. Approaching the 1000m, BINT AMER (AE) (W Smith) which had been racing greenly, became reluctant to race and was subsequently eased out of the race by Jockey W Smith.
