NAHWAND (GB) (R Burke) was a late withdrawal at 4:10pm. On enquiry, Trainer Mr M Gharib was fined AED 500 under ERA Rule 60 (iii) for failing to scratch NAHWAND (GB) in the correct manner. RS INAAM (AE) (D Badel) was unable to be loaded and was subsequently withdrawn at 5:02 pm. Trainer Dr J Bittar was advised that RS INAAM (AE) would be required to complete 2 satisfactory stalls tests at Abu Dhabi racecourse on race night prior to being entered to race again. AYHAM AL NAIF (QA) (S Al Taleei) was hard to load. Trainer Mr M Kettle was advised that he must attempt to rectify the starting gate manners of AYHAM AL NAIF (QA) prior to racing again. RAKEEL (FR) (T O’Shea) was hard to load. Trainer Mr E Lemartinel was advised that he must attempt to rectify the starting gate manners of RAKEEL (FR) prior to racing again. BARRAH (AE) (F Jara) and CELTIC PEARL (GB) (W Buick) brushed on jumping. AYHAM AL NAIF (QA) and MUSTANISSAH (AE) (S Doyle) were slow into stride. Making the turn into the straight, BARRAH (AE) shifted outwards away from GRP MASOUD (AE) (D O’Donohoe) and in doing so had to be eased off the heels of MOUNTAIN FRESH (US) (A Ajtebi). MUSTANISSAH (AE) and GRP MASOUD (AE) both raced greenly in the straight. CELTIC PEARL (GB) shifted outwards over the final 25m and inconvenienced MOUNTAIN FRESH (US). MOUNTAIN FRESH (US) returned with a cut to its right fore.

AS MUSHRIF (AE) (S Gorey) was slow into stride. EARLY MORNING (AE) (J McGinn) raced keenly in the early stages and then near the 1000m had to be steadied when attempting a marginal run to the inside of AF RAKIZA (AE) (A Nicholls). Making the turn into the straight, LA TARMES (AE) (D O’Donohoe) rolled inwards slightly and inconvenienced the tiring LAZ’ZAZ ALFAISAL (AE) (A Ajtebi). Jockey C Taylor reported that near the 200m, JAIFAR (AE) (E Lemartinel) became reluctant to stride out and as such had elected to ease the horse down as he thought it may have suffered an injury. A post race veterinary examination of JAIFAR (AE) revealed no abnormalities.

Trainer Mr M Kettle was advised that a Veterinary Certificate would be required prior to the filly being permitted to be entered to race again. KARMEN CS (US) (L Jones) was slow into stride. MYLLA DE CARRERE (FR) (X Ziani) shifted outwards onto GRP KORTBESA GHANTOOT (AE) (L Bester) on jumping. EAUMERTA (FR) (D Smith) which was racing keenly in the early stages had to be steadied off the heels of ROMANCE DE FAUST (FR) (A Ajtebi), after that mare was crowded for room making the turn out of the straight. Near the 300m, AF MAHAB ALSHAMAL (AE) (T Durcan) was momentarily steadied when MYLLA DE CARRERE (FR) shifted outwards. MEN BU DHABI (FR) (R Burke) raced erratically in running. A post race veterinary examination of AF MAHAB ALSHAMAL (AE) revealed no abnormalities.

Shortly after entering the track, RS TAREEF (AE) dislodged Jockey M Henry with the colt then proceeding to the start riderless. RS TAREEF (AE) then underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. IBN ABEYA (AE) (R Burke) was hard to load. Trainer Mr S Hawaa was advised that IBN ABEYA (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. RS KHAAN (AE) (D Badel) became extremely fractious after it was loaded into the gates and was then slow into stride. Trainer Dr J Bittar was advised that RS KHAAN (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test at Abu Dhabi racecourse on race night prior to being entered to race again. AF MURSID (AE) (W Buick) and MOTABAYEN (AE) (R Ffrench) were both hard to load. Trainer Ms G Duffield was advised that she must attempt to rectify AF MURSID (AE) and MOTABAYEN (AE) starting gate manners prior to racing again. IBN ABEYA (AE) and MESHWAR (AE) (W Smith) bumped on jumping. AF MURSID (AE) and NS ALQAHIR (AE) (R Mullen) both raced greenly.
