COLUMBIA (AE) (D Smith) bounded on jumping and lost considerable ground. AF JAMER EL OUYOON (AE) (W Supple) shifted inwards on jumping, making contact with TIMOOR (AE) (G Avranche), with that horse then bumping heavily with GRP ZABEEL (AE) (S Gorey). WAID (AE) (D O’Donohoe) hung outwards throughout. MUSALLAH (AE) (L Jones) and GRP INTAAJ GHANTOOT (AE) (W Buick) both hung outwards making the turn into the straight. AF FATEK (AE) (F Jara) was eased out of the race near the 200m. When questioned regarding this, Jockey F Jara reported that the horse had never felt comfortable in its action at any stage of the race and had also been hanging and as such he elected to ease AF FATEK (AE) down as he believed it may have been injured. A post race veterinary examination of the horse revealed no abnormalities although it did return having lost its left hind shoe. RS INAAM (AE) (D Badel) returned having lost its right hind shoe.

Near the 300m, BH ONE (AE) (S Al Reffai) shifted outwards crowding ROYAL CLASS (FR) (R Hills) onto MUZOON DE FAUST (FR) (R Mullen) which had received slight tightening from IBN ABEYA (AE) (R Burke) on its outside. BH ONE (AE) then continued to shift outwards for the remainder of the race. On enquiry, Jockey S Al Reffai (BH ONE [AE]) was reprimanded for failing to straight his mount when it shifted ground.

Stewards' Reports for Plawmenny
Prior to announcing correct weight, the Stewards enquired into interference suffered by the 4th placed, EJAABI (FR) (R Hills) from the 3rd placed, DAS EL SAMER (AE) (D O’Donohoe) near the 200m. After reviewing the patrol footage and questioning both riders, the Stewards were satisfied that had DAS EL SAMER (AE) not shifted inwards near the 200m causing EJAABI (FR) to be restrained and lose ground, EJAABI (FR) would have beaten DAS EL SAMER (AE). As such acting under ERA Rule 82A, the Stewards amended the placings to be: 1st - JAXY KING (GB) (W Smith) 2nd - CS PATRIARCH (GB) (T O’Shea) 3rd - EJAABI (FR) (R Hills) 4th - DAS EL SAMER (AE) (D O’Donohoe) Making the turn into the straight DAS EL SAMER (AE) hung outwards and then passing the 300m commenced to shift ground inwards. Shortly after this, when struck with the whip near the 225m, DAS EL SAMER (AE) shifted in onto EJAABI (FR) causing that horse to be restrained and lose its position. On enquiry the Stewards reprimanded jockey D O’Donohoe for failing to straighten his mount when it shifted ground.
