The tongue tie on TULIPA DI JOB (BRZ) (T O’Shea) had to be re-fitted at the starting gates. SAND CAT (GB) (D O’Donohoe) was slow to begin. BUSCAPE (USA) (R Mullen) threw its head in the air on jumping and shortly after this was restrained and lost its position when crossed by CHUN TOSAIGH (USA) (W Buick). On enquiry, Jockey R Mullen explained that BUSCAPE (USA) had a sensitive mouth and when easing the mare away from the heels of CHUN TOSAIGH (USA) had over-reacted. Whilst the Stewards accepted Jockey R Mullen’s evidence, Jockey W Buick was advised however that he must ensure he is fully clear of runners when shifting ground in future. PRINCE OF DENMARK (IRE) (G Birrer) and TULIPA DI JOB (BRZ) both returned with their tongue ties having come undone during the race.
