After being loaded into the gates, MUSALLAH (AE) (L Jones) broke through and galloped a circuit of the course before being recaptured. MUSALLAH (AE) was subsequently withdrawn by order of stewards at 5:04pm. Trainer Mr S Hawaa was advised that MUSALLAH (UAE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. RENEGADE (AE) (J Rosales) was extremely fractious in the gates. Trainer Dr J Bittar was advised that RENEGADE (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test on race night prior to being entered to race again. ZAIDAN (AE) (T Durcan) and HAYZ (AE) (D Badel) were slow into stride. Making the turn into the straight, AL AZM (AE) (S Al Taleei) shifted outwards, causing RICARDO (AE) (G Avranche) to momentarily steady. Over the final 200m, HAYZ (AE) shifted inwards onto AL AZM (AE). Jockey D Badel (HAYZ [AE]) was advised that he was expected to straighten his mount quicker when shifting ground.

After being loaded into the gates, SHIJA (AE) (D Badel) became fractious. Trainer Dr J Bittar was advised that SHIJA (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. SHIJA (AE) dipped on jumping. WAFIDAH (AE) (D O’Donohoe) was slow into stride. AF QA’ED (AE) (T Durcan) veered outwards on jumping onto BARAKAT (AE) (S Al Reffai) with that horse then shifting outwards quickly, resulting in CS CHARMA (GB) (R Ffrench) being crowded for room. BARAKAT (AE) then continued outwards and bumped ADEEM (AE) (S Al Taleei) out onto BUSTAN (GB) (R Mullen). Running to the turn at the 1000m, BARAKAT (AE) edged inwards away from BUSTAN (GB) and in doing so tightened SHARUDY (US) (T O’Shea) onto SHIJA (AE), with that horse blundering and losing ground. On enquiry, the Stewards were of the opinion that no one rider could be blamed for this incident as the interference had been initiated by BARAKAT (AE) moving away from BUSTAN (GB). BARAKAT (AE) retuned having lost its right fore plate.
