DEMOSTRATIVO (ARG) (X Ziani) was hard to load. Trainer Mr M Bin Shafya was advised that DEMOSTRATIVO (ARG) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. OTAARED (GB) (T Durcan) jumped away awkwardly and made contact with DEMOSTRATIVO (ARG) (X Ziani). FARES (IRE) (G Carroll) and SUMMER GAMES (GB) (S Kaya) were slow into stride. Approaching the 1200m, SUMMER GAMES (GB) shifted in taking JET EXPRESS (SAF) (R Ffrench) in onto OTAARED (GB), which had to be steadied. FARES (IRE) and ESTIHDAAF (USA) (T O’Shea) which were following had to be restrained as a consequence. Shortly thereafter, DEMOSTRATIVO (ARG) commenced to hang outwards and ran wide taking JET EXPRESS (SAF), POWER POLITICS (USA) (W Smith) and WORLD RULER (GB) (R Mullen) all wide on the track. On enquiry, the Stewards were satisfied that no rider was to blame for this incident, however they advised Jockey S Kaya (SUMMER GAMES [GB]) to ensure that he is clear when shifting ground. Approaching the 900m, DEMOSTRATVO (ARG) shifted inwards causing OTAARED (GB) to be steadied. On enquiry, Jockey X Ziani (DEMOSTRATIVO [ARG]) was issued a warning and advised that he needs to ensure that he is clear when shifting ground. ROSSEL (ARG) (D O’Donohoe) returned having lost its right fore plate.

KEEP DISCOVERING (IRE) (P Smullen) jumped inwards at the start and made contact with PASCAL (USA) (D Badel). KAL BARG (GB) (T Durcan) raced freely in the early stages of the race. MIDNIGHT CRUISER (IRE) (X Ziani) ran wide round the turn at the 1200m. Leaving the 200m, NASEEHAH (USA) (C Sanchez) shifted around the heels of PASCAL (USA) to obtain clear running, resulting in KAL BARG (GB) having to be restrained and taken in onto FINGERPRINT (USA) (G Carroll) which had to be restrained to avoid the heels of AL MARMOOM (USA) (J Rosales). On enquiry Jockey C Sanchez (NASEEHAH [USA]) was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under ERA Rule 69(i) and was subsequently suspended from riding in races for 2 days (Abu Dhabi 27th December, 2009 and Abu Dhabi 3rd January, 2010). ROMAN’S RUN (USA) (J Burke) returned having bled from both nostrils. Trainer Mr D Watson was advised that ROMAN’S RUN (USA) would not be permitted to start until it had passed a satisfactory gallop test in the presence of an ERA Veterinary Officer, to be conducted not before 60 days from the date of bleeding. ROMAN’S RUN (USA) returned having lost its right for plate in running. PASO DE GLORIA (ARG) (R Ffrench) returned with cuts in its mouth.
