Upon leaving the paddock, ANGELICA Z (ARG) (L Jones) became fractious and made heavy contact to the running rail at the entrance to the track. ANGELICA Z (ARG) was subsequently examined by the Veterinary Officer at the start and passed fit to race. After being loaded into the gates, EXCEEDINGLY FAST (KSA) (R Mullen) became extremely fractious and reared on several occasions. Trainer Mr S Seemar was advised that EXCEEDINGLY FAST (KSA) would be required to complete 2 satisfactory stalls tests prior to being entered to race again. MARINE SPIRIT (GER) (W Supple) and ANGELICA Z (ARG) were both fractious in the gates. Trainer Mr M Bin Shafya was advised that MARINE SPIRIT (GER) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. Trainer Mr A Al Raihe was advised that ANGELICA Z (ARG) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. BIG BUZZ (IRE) (J Rosales), AMBUSH BOY (USA) (D O’Donohoe), RAMADI (IRE) (R Thomas) and EXCEEDINGLY FAST (KSA) were slow to begin. HAPPY DUBAI (IRE) (R Ffrench) had a tendency to lay inwards over the final 250m. A post race veterinary examination of EXCEEDINGLY FAST (KSA) revealed the filly to have a cut to the left fore knee. Trainer Mr S Seemar was advised that a Veterinary Certificate would be required prior to the filly being permitted to be entered to race again.

ROYAATY (IRE) (A Murgia) was a late scratching at 4:50pm on veterinary advice after the colt was found to be lame in the right fore. Trainer Mr M Al Subouse was advised that a Veterinary Certificate would be required prior to ROYAATY (IRE) being permitted to be entered to race again. ROCHDALE (GB) had a tendency to lay inwards over the concluding stages, which resulted in Jockey R Ffrench’s whip action being impeded for two strides. When questioned regarding the performance of PASCAL (USA), Jockey K Shea stated that the horse had failed to respond to his urgings in the straight, after which it was disappointing. He further stated that PASCAL (USA) had made a coughing noise when pulling up. A post race veterinary examination confirmed jockey K Shea’s statement. Trainer E Charpy advised that he would inform the Stewards of any further development in the condition of PASCAL (USA). BLUES BALLAD (GB) (R Mullen) returned distressed. Trainer Mr S Seemar was advised that a Veterinary Certificate would be required prior to the gelding being permitted to be entered to race again.
