Near the 1100m VITO CORELEONE (CHI) (A Ajtebi) and FELDAY (GB) (W Supple) were crowded for room when DEMOSTRATIVO (ARG) (X Ziani) shifted outwards. Passing the 1000m, FELDAY (GB) had to be checked and lose its racing position when crowded for room to the outside of DEMOSTRATIVO (ARG). On enquiry it was established that at this stage of the race DEMOSTRATIVO (ARG) had received some pressure from YIRGA (GB) (R Ffrench), which was racing to its inside. After considering all of the evidence available to them, including the evidence of the riders, and also the films available, which were inconclusive, the Stewards were not comfortable that blame for this incident could be apportioned to any one rider and no action was taken. Passing the 100m, CLASP (GB) (P Dobbs) was crowded for room between OTAARED (GB) (W Buick) and YIRGA (GB) when both those horses shifted ground.
