Prior to entering the paddock, DORGHA DE BRUGERE (FR) (C Eddery) lost its right hind plate and was required to be re-plated. GRP MUDHISH (AE) (M O’Callaghan) was slow into stride. LIWA SPIRIT (AE) (T O’Shea) jumped awkwardly. QADI DU BAC (FR) (D Badel) was crowded for room shortly after the start between DORGHA DE BRUGERE (FR) and BAROLO (US) (W Smith). Jockey R Ffrench reported that KORTINA CS (US) hung outwards badly over the final 400m. Jockey M O’Callaghan (GRP MUDHISH [AE]) was reprimanded for breaching ERA Instruction 3B(v) in that he had unfastened the chin strap of his safety helmet prior to dismounting. Jockey W Smith was fined AED 1000 for breaching ERA Instruction 8(ii)(c)(vii) in that he used his whip on BAROLO (US) in a manner that did not allow time for it to respond.

MUSALLAH (AE) (A Ajtebi) was a late scratching at 3:35pm after it broke through the starting gates and galloped riderless for a distance. Trainer Mr S Deeb was advised that MUSALLAH (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. SURRAAD (AE) (D Badel) jumped awkwardly. AL GHAZALAH W’RSAN (AE) (W Walter) was slow into stride. CLEAR SIGN (AE) (M O’Callaghan) was crowded for room on jumping between AF DISAN (AE) (G Birrer) and BASMAH W’RSAN (AE) (R Mullen). AF MURSID (AE) (T O’Shea) veered in sharply near the 1800m where the chute joined onto the course proper. FAHED AL SHAHAMMA (AE) (C Eddery) was eased down at 1000m. A post race veterinary examination of the colt revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr M Hussain was advised that FAHED AL SHAHAMMA (AE) will be required to paddock school and also complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the Stewards before being permitted to be entered to race again. Jockey T O’Shea (AF MURSID [AE]) reported that approaching the 900m he was obliged to alter course abruptly to avoid the tiring AF HAADEH (AE) (S Al Reffai).

Trainer Ms J Wickham was advised that AL HALYL W’RSAN (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. HASEEB (AE) (D Smith) was hard to load. Trainer Mr I Ellahi was advised that HASEEB (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. KUNG FU (AE) (A Ajtebi) was fractious in the gates. Trainer Mr S Deeb was advised that KUNG FU (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. RS SAHIB (AE) (S Al Taleei) was slow into stride. Shortly after the start, RAKKAD AL ASAYL (AE) (D O’Donohoe) had to be eased when AL NASHMY (AE) (W Smith) shifted in. Also shortly after the start, MAYYAR W’RSAN (AE) (W Buick) shifted in away from AL HALYL W’RSAN (AE) and as a result had to be eased off the heels of AF RAAD (AE) (X Ziani). KUNG FU (AE) hung outwards badly throughout obliging Apprentice A Ajtebi to pull the colt up in the straight. Apprentice A Ajtebi reported that the saddle had slipped as a consequence of the colt hanging. Trainer Mr S Deeb was advised that KUNG FU (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory gallop in the presence of the Stewards before being permitted to be entered to race again. Leaving the 1400m, AL HALYL W’RSAN (AE) had to be eased when tightened for room between MAYYAR W’RSAN (AE) (W Buick) which had rolled out slightly and HASEEB (AE) (D Smith). Approaching the 1300m, Jockey X Ziani (AF RAAD [AE]), when endeavoring to relieve pressure to runners to his inside, had to check his mount to avoid the heels of RADIANCE (AE) (L Jones), which was racing to his outside. Jockey X Ziani explained to the Stewards that at this stage of the race AF RAAD (AE) had been laying outwards which had contributed to the interference his mount had suffered. RAKKAD AL ASAYL (AE) which was following had to be eased as a consequence of this incident.
