NASEEM AL REEF (AE) (M Barzalona) was slow into stride. CS PATRIARCH (GB) (W Supple) jumped away awkwardly. Rounding the home bend, ALBAR LOTOIS (FR) (W Walter), which was making ground, was restrained when held up for clear running behind GRP INTAJ GHANTOOT (AE) (D Smith), which rolled outwards slightly. The tiring AS GOSAN (AE) (C Sandoval), which was racing to the outside of ALBAR LOTOIS (FR), was momentarily restrained in this incident. Inside the final 100m, ALBAR LOTOIS (FR) shifted inwards brushing with DAHES (FR) (G Avranche), and at the 50m DAHES (FR) was accidently struck with the whip of Jockey W Walter (ALBAR LOTOIS [FR]).

IBN ABEYA (AE) (J Rosales) was hard to load. Trainer Mr M Al Jahouri was advised that IBN ABEYA (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. IBN ABEYA (AE) and AF HAADEH (AE) (S Al Reffai) were slow to begin. Apprentice A Murgia (OMAYYADE THABET [FR]) dropped his whip near the 300m. Near the 200m, BAHER (FR) (G Avranche) and MUZOON DE FAUST (FR) (R Mullen) bumped. Passing the 150m, MUZOON DE FAUST (FR) and SHARAKKA (GB) (T O’Shea) were crowded for room between OMAYYADE THABET (FR), which had commenced to drift outwards, and SAKRE D’OR (FR) (R Hills), which lay inwards slightly. QUICKSILVER (GB) (K Milczarek) returned having lost its right fore plate in running.
