LISANDRO (URU) (R Cleary) was slow to begin and bumped with the hind quarters of POLAR VISION (USA) (D Smith), when that horse jumped outwards. MAX NOTE (URU) (S Al Taleei) was slow to begin. LORD TIGER (GB) (R Mullen) raced keenly in the early stages. Running to the 1200m, BOSS PROFESSOR (ARG) (D O’Donohoe) drifted outwards and, as a result, MAX NOTE (URU) ran outwards away from BOSS PROFESSOR (ARG), carrying KING’S CONGRESS (USA) (C Taylor) and POLAR VISION (USA) wider on the track. POLAR VISION (USA) then hung outwards making the first bend at the 1200m. Jockey D O’Donohoe reported that the saddle slipped on BOSS PROFESSOR (ARG) making the first bend at the 1200m. Jockey C Taylor reported that KING’S CONGRESS (USA) got its tongue over the bit in running. MUREB (USA) (P Cosgrave) returned with a cut to its mouth. Apprentice A Murgia (DAHES [IRE]) was fined AED 500 for breaching ERA Rule 57(iii) in that he was unable to ride his mount at his published Minimum Riding Weight of 53kg, compared to recent weeks where he had been riding at 52kg. Apprentice A Murgia was advised that he is not permitted to be declared on horses with an allotted weight of less than 53kg until such time as he can demonstrate to the Stewards that he is able to do so.

BARQ (IRE) (C Sanchez) was a late withdrawal at 4:49pm after the colt sat down in the starting gate and became cast.
