MUDARIK (AE) (S Al Reffai) was hard to load. Trainer Mr J Salman was advised that MUDARIK (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. JAP MERSAL (AE) (D Smith) reared as the gates opened and lost ground. JAP AL DINAR (AE) (C Avery) was slow to begin and then veered inwards shortly after the start and bumped with JAP MERSAL (AE). MUDARIK (AE) was unable to be controlled by its rider, Jockey S Al Reffai, in the early stages and raced extremely erratically. NS SHUJAA (AE) (W Supple) hung outwards making the bend at the 1200m. BARAK (AE) (M O’Connell) raced greenly over the final 400m. MUDARIK (AE) returned having bled from both nostrils and a post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the left fore. Trainer Mr J Salman was advised that MUDARIK (AE) would not be permitted to start until it had passed a satisfactory gallop test in the presence of an ERA Veterinary Officer, to be conducted not before 21 days from the date of bleeding, and a Veterinary Certificate would be required prior to the horse being permitted to be entered to race again. RAEAA W’RSAN (AE) (P Cosgrave) returned having lost its right hind shoe in running.
