Trainer Mr S Seemar was advised that a Veterinary Certificate would be required prior to the colt being permitted to be entered to race again. GAME STALKER (USA) (T Durcan) and FARES (IRE) (P Dobbs) were slow to begin. DESERT REALM (IRE) (D Smith) and TRUST N DUSTAN (USA) (S Al Mazrooei) bumped on jumping. SHE’S IN THE MONEY (GB) (H Bentley) commenced awkwardly and then raced keenly in the early stages. SEEKING GLORY (GB) (R Ffrench) made the bend at the 1200m awkwardly and was restrained. GRAYMALKIN (IRE) (T O’Shea) carried TRUST N DUSTAN (USA) wider on the track rounding the home bend.

LE PRINCE CHARMANT (FR) (G Hind) jumped awkwardly. FIVE CENTS (GB) (S Al Mazrooei) and SUNDAY SYMPHONY (GB) (R Mullen) were slow to begin. FIVE CENTS (GB) bumped the inside running rail approaching the 1200m. Leaving the 600m, SHEMOLI (GB) (W Buick) lay inwards and raced tight with NOISY SILENCE (IRE) (P Dobbs) until approaching the 400m. Jockey W Buick (SHEMOLI [GB]) was fined AED 2000 for breaching ERA Instruction 8(ii)(c)(i) in that he used his whip in the forehand position forward of the saddle. A post-race veterinary examination of LE PRINCE CHARMANT (FR) revealed the horse to be lame in the right fore. Trainer Mr M Ramadan was advised that a Veterinary Certificate would be required prior to the horse being permitted to be entered to race again. A post-race veterinary examination of FIVE CENTS (GB) revealed no abnormalities.

BON GRAIN (FR) (P Cosgrave) was slow to begin. OTAARED (GB) (W Buick) jumped awkwardly. Approaching the 200m, SIR GERRY (USA) fractured its off fore leg and fell, dislodging its rider, T O’Shea. SIR GERRY (USA) was subsequently euthanized by the ERA Veterinary Officer. Jockey T O’Shea was subsequently examined by the Club’s medical officer and was passed fit to fulfill his remaining riding engagements.
