After being loaded in the starting gates, ZAMHAREER AL REEF (AE) became extremely fractious and dislodged Jockey J Rosales. ZAMHAREER AL REEF (AE) was subsequently withdrawn at 5:33pm on veterinary advice. Trainer Dr J Bittar was advised that ZAMHAREER AL REEF (AE) would be required to complete two satisfactory stalls tests prior to being entered to race again. FOUTOUH (AE) (S Al Reffai) and AF ATLAAL (AE) (T O’Shea) were hard to load. Trainer Mr S Hawaa was advised that FOUTOUH (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. Trainer Mr J Peromingo was advised that AF ATLAAL (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. AL HAYEM (AE) (W Smith) dwelt on jumping and then commenced to buck for a short distance. Trainer Mr B Al Ketbi was advised that AL HAYEM (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. REEZA (AE) (D O’Donohoe) hung outwards rounding the home bend and in the straight. NAUGHTY (AE) (A Ajtebi) raced erratically in the straight and veered outwards sharply near the 200m, unbalancing Jockey A Ajtebi.

EL LOCO UNO (USA) (D Badel) was crowded for room on jumping. MULAQAT (GB) (R Cleary) was slow into stride. Near the 800m, DESERT REALM (IRE) (A Murgia) shifted outwards off the heels of DR SMART (IRE) (W Smith) causing EDDIE JOCK (IRE) (R Mullen) to be eased and shift outwards, inconveniencing FIRESTREAK (GB) (G Avranche) and JAASOOS (IRE) (K Fallon). On enquiry, Apprentice A Murgia (DESERT REALM [IRE]) was reprimanded for shifting ground when insufficiently clear. Rounding the home bend, WITH INTEREST (GB) (R Ffrench) and LIBERATION (IRE) (T Durcan) were both held up for clear running with LIBERATION (IRE) having to be eased off of the heels of DESERT REALM (IRE). CLASP (GB) (P Dobbs) was held up for clear running until leaving the 200m. Near the 250m, BLACK EAGLE (IRE) (J Rosales), after being held up behind IGUAZU FALLS (USA) (P Cosgrave), shifted outwards carrying GOLDEN ARROW (IRE) (W Supple) out across DR SMART (IRE) (W Smith), which had to be restrained and lose its position. GOLDEN ARROW (IRE) bumped with EDDIE JOCK (IRE) at this time. DESERT REALM (IRE) and WITH INTEREST (GB), which were following, were both inconvenienced in this incident. On enquiry, Jockey J Rosales (BLACK EAGLE [IRE]) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under ERA Rule 69(i) and was subsequently suspended from riding in races for 3 days (Meydan 16th December, Jebel Ali 17th December and Abu Dhabi 19th December, 2010).
