Approaching the 1300m, QUICK WIT (GB) (W Buick), which was racing keenly, shifted inwards, which resulted in NATIONAL PRIDE (USA), which was also racing keenly, having to be eased. Leaving the 350m, ATLANTIC SPORT (USA) (T Pereira) shifted inwards slightly, which crowded JAASOOS (IRE) (M Guyon) inwards towards the tiring KETTLE RIVER (USA), resulting in JAASOOS (IRE) having to be eased.
