JAP AL ATAAF (AE) (C Peddie) began awkwardly. Passing the 1200m, when KING (AE) (C Sandoval) was drifting outwards, AF MAYA HAB (AE) (A Ajtebi) shifted to the outside of KING (AE), which crowded RS MUJAHID (AE) (S Al Reffai) outwards onto AF ANANI (AE) (J Doyle), resulting in AF ANANI (AE) having to be eased. YIRGA (GB) and ATLANTIC BRAVE (GB) then lay towards each other and brushed on a number of occasions over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding the performance of EMMROOZ (GB), Jockey W Buick advised that in his opinion the gelding will benefit from today’s run and will also improve as he steps up in distance.
