Stewards' Reports for Emirates Sky Cargo
The start of the race was delayed due to ARABIAN WOLF (USA) (H Bentley) being reluctant to come out of the tunnel. In the process of trying to get ARABIAN WOLF (USA) out of the tunnel and on to the track, the bridle became displaced and there was then some difficulty in refitting the bridle. Trainer Mr S Seemar was advised that ARABIAN WOLF (USA) would be required to paddock school to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to being entered to race again. BUSKER (USA) (P Cosgrave) was re-saddled after arriving at the starting gates. FIRST QUEEN (KSA) (A Murgia) was a late scratching at 6:43pm after the mare was unable to be loaded into the starting gates. Trainer Mr A Al Shamsi was advised that FIRST QUEEN (KSA) would be required to complete two satisfactory stalls tests prior to being entered to race again. BUSKER (USA) was fractious in the gates. Trainer Mr M bin Shafya was advised that BUSKER (USA) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. BOOMERANG (URU) (C Peddie), SHAFGAAN (GB) (R Ffrench) and NEXUS (IRE) (T Durcan) were slow to begin. GOLD POST (GB) (J Doyle) stumbled on jumping. BIG ZEE (IRE) (A Ajtebi) jumped awkwardly and then raced keenly in the early stages. BIG ZEE (IRE) was held up for clear running rounding the home bend until leaving the 350m. Jockey A Ajtebi reported that the colt was reluctant to race amongst other horses. Jockey P Cosgrave reported that the saddle on BUSKER (USA) shifted shortly after jumping. Part of the packing from the saddle of BUSKER (USA) became displaced approaching the 100m. NEXUS (IRE) returned having bled from both nostrils. Trainer Mr S Seemar was advised that NEXUS (IRE) would not be permitted to start until it had passed a satisfactory gallop test in the presence of an ERA Veterinary Officer, to be conducted not before 21 days from the date of bleeding.

WADI WANDERER (IRE) (W Smith) and TERTIARY (USA) (H Bentley) jumped awkwardly. KRONFUL (GB) (J Doyle) and DAHES (IRE) (S Al Mazrooei) were crowded for room on jumping between FREEHAND (USA) (D Smith) and DESERT STREAK (FR) (P Cosgrave), which jumped outwards. DESERT STREAK (FR) then raced keenly and lay outwards onto DAHES (IRE) for a short distance. After being slow to begin, FOREST RUNNER (GB) (R Ffrench) was then pushed along and commenced to race keenly and had to be restrained off the heels of SKYCRUISER (IRE) (R Mullen) approaching the 1300m. Leaving the 1300m, TERTIARY (USA) and KRONFUL (GB), which were racing keenly, raced in restricted room to the inside of SKYCRUISER (IRE). Approaching the 1200m, TERTIARY (USA) eased and FOREST RUNNER (GB), which was following, had to be restrained. TERTIARY (USA) and KRONFUL (GB) then continued to race keenly until the middle stages of the race. WADI WANDERER (IRE) raced wide in the early and middle stages. The ERA Veterinary Officer reported that following the running of the race, FINGERPRINT (USA) (M Henry) bled, suffered a heart attack and expired in the tunnel. In the circumstances, Jockey M Henry was unable to weigh in, however Stewards were satisfied that there was no evidence or reason to suggest that FINGERPRINT (USA) had carried less than the proper weight throughout the race, and accordingly correct weight was declared. Jockey M Henry became indisposed following the running of this race and was relieved of his remaining riding engagement. KRONFUL (GB) returned having lost its right fore shoe in running and having sustained lacerations to its right fore.
