When questioned regarding the performance of SARBOLA (GB), Jockey J Doyle could offer no explanation. When questioned regarding the performance of KARMA CHAMELEON (GB), Jockey W Smith stated that in his opinion the gelding did not handle the track. A post-race veterinary examination of KARMA CHAMELEON (GB) revealed no abnormalities. A post-race veterinary examination of MONT AGEL (GB) (A Ajtebi) revealed no abnormalities. A post-race veterinary examination of AMAZON RIVER (IRE) revealed the horse to be lame in the left fore. Trainer Mr R Bouresly was advised that a Veterinary Certificate would be required prior to the horse being permitted to be entered to race again.

COLOURFUL SCORE (USA) (R Mullen) and KALA KANTA (IRE) (S Hitchcott) were fractious in the gates. Trainer Mr S Seemar was advised that both the geldings would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to being entered to race again. COLOURFUL SCORE (USA) was slow to begin. ANA EMIRATI (USA) (H Bentley) stumbled shortly after jumping. Passing the 1200m, KAWSSAJ (GB) (J Doyle) shifted outwards carrying GOLD PEARL (USA) (M Monaghan) outwards onto CHIEF OFFICER (GB) (C Sandoval), which was in turn carried outwards across NO HUBRIS (USA) (T O’Shea), which had to be restrained. On enquiry, Jockey J Doyle (KAWSSAJ [GB]) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under ERA Rule 69(i) and was subsequently suspended from riding in races for 2 days (Abu Dhabi 9th and Jebel Ali 14th November, 2012). Approaching the 900m, DAREJ (USA) (P Cosgrave) drifted outwards away from DABOOS (USA) (D O’Neill) and bumped LIBERATION (IRE) (A Ajtebi) outwards causing it to be eased away from the heels of EL WASMI (GB) (S Al Mazrooei). ENJOY DUBAI (ARG) (R Ffrench) returned having bled from both nostrils. Trainer Mr A Al Raihe was advised that ENJOY DUBAI (ARG) would not be permitted to start until it had passed a satisfactory gallop test in the presence of an ERA Veterinary Officer, to be conducted not before 21 days from the date of bleeding.

TLAAD (USA) was a late scratching at 5:07pm after the colt was unable to be loaded. Trainer Mr I Mohammed was advised that TLAAD (USA) would be required to complete 2 satisfactory stalls tests prior to being entered to race again. QANNAAS (USA) (D O’Neill) and SHAFGAAN (GB) (S Al Mazrooei) were slow to begin. LINE OF SIGHT (USA) (T O’Shea) began awkwardly. DAHES (IRE) (T Koyuncu) began awkwardly and shifted outwards crowding SERJAAN (GB) (S James). Passing the 1100m, RACE TO DUBAI (USA) (H Bentley) was momentarily eased between I GOT YOU BABE (IRE) (W Smith) and FIERINESS (IRE) (M Monaghan), both which drifted ground slightly. Jockey R Mullen reported that something felt amiss with the action of PASQUINO (USA) near the 1200m and again near the 600m and, as such, he elected to retire the gelding from the race. A post-race veterinary examination of PASQUINO (USA) revealed no abnormalities. Jockey J Doyle (MOMARIS [GB]) was fined AED 2000 for breaching ERA Instruction 8(ii)(c)(vi) in that he used his whip with excessive frequency and ERA Instruction 8(ii)(c)(i) in that he used his whip in the forehand position forward of the saddle. Abu Dhabi – Race 6 Al Reem Island Handicap (Thoroughbred) 2200m (25.11.12) Passing the 300m, KAL BARG (GB) shifted outwards abruptly, causing CRAIGSTOWN (GB) to be eased. On enquiry, Jockey J Doyle (KAL BARG [GB]) was reprimanded and advised that he must ensure that he is fully clear when shifting ground.
