JAP AL ATAAF (AE) (J Santiago) was a late scratching at 2.16pm when it was unable to be loaded into the starting gates. Trainer Mr I Ellahi was advised that JAP AL ATAAF (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory stalls test prior to it being permitted to be entered to race again. MA’EROR W’RSAN (AE) (D O’Neill) and BORKAN AL ZOBAIR (AE) (S Hitchcott) were slow to begin. Near the 1200m, JAMEEL W’RSAN (AE) (J Rosales) shifted inwards causing RS SANJAR (AE) (S Al Reffai) to be restrained. On enquiry, Jockey J Rosales (JAMEEL W’RSAN [AE]) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under ERA Rule 69(i) and was suspended from riding in races for three days (3 March 2013 at Abu Dhabi, 8 March 2013 at Jebel Ali and 9 March 2013 at Meydan). RS SANJAR (AE) returned having bled from both nostrils. Trainer Mr K Al Neyadi was advised that RS SANJAR (AE) would be required to complete a satisfactory gallop test in the presence of the ERA Veterinary Steward, not to be completed before 21 days from the date of bleeding.
