After arriving at the starting gates, PRESS OFFICE (USA) (D O’Donohoe) was examined by the ERA Veterinary Officer and was passed fit to start. BLUE TIGER (GB) (X Ziani), PRESS OFFICE (USA) and BACKSTAGE TOUR (GB) (T O’Shea) were slow to begin. MARHI (USA) (C Kelly) began awkwardly and then raced very greenly in the early stages. HONEST BOY (GB) (T Durcan) mis-strode for a short distance leaving the 800m. Jockey J Doyle reported that TAJAMAL (IRE) hung inwards throughout. Jockey R Mullen reported that PRICE IS TRUTH (USA) did not handle the surface today. A post-race veterinary examination of PRESS OFFICE (USA) revealed no significant abnormalities. A post-race veterinary examination of AL WASL (IRE) (C Sanchez) revealed the horse to be lame in the right hind. Trainer Mr M Ibrahim was advised that a veterinary certificate would be required for AL WASL (IRE) prior to it being permitted to be entered to race again.
