Shortly after the start MANNAN AL REEF (AE) shifted out making contact with KUNG FU (AE). After being slow into stride, AMEER AL SRAYA (AE) veered outwards abruptly. SAFINA GHANTOOT (AE) and TARF ALSEBA (AE) hung out throughout. In the straight SAFIR BAINUNA (AE) raced greenly.

A post-race veterinary examination of DESERT OF DREAMS (GB) revealed the colt to be lame in the right-foreleg.
