TESLIN (IRE) dwelt at the start losing considerable ground. Mr S Seemar, the trainer of TESLIN (IRE), was notified that prior to the gelding being entered to race again it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. CENTRIFUGAL (IRE) raced wide without cover throughout. Passing the 400 metres PETTY OFFICER (IRE) momentarily steadied from REPRESENTATION (USA). LUTINE BELL (GB) was held up in the early part of the straight. INAAD (IRE) hung inwards in the straight. Near the 200 metres REPRESENTATION (USA) checked when KAHRUMAN (USA) shifted inwards. Jockey P Cosgrave, the jockey of KAHRUMAN (USA), pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of ERA Rule 69(i), the careless riding being that near the 200 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of REPRESENTATION, resulting in that horse being checked. P Cosgrave had his license to ride in races suspended for 3 race-meetings (JEBEL ALI 10th January 2014, MEYDAN 16th January 2014 and MEYDAN 18TH January 2014). In assessing the penalty Stewards took into account P Cosgrave’s guilty plea.

GHAAMER (USA) and ASIFA (IRE) were both difficult to load. Mr A Al Raihe, the trainer of GHAAMER (USA), was notified that prior to the gelding being entered to race again it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. Mr A bin Harmash, the trainer of ASIFA (IRE), was notified that a warning would be placed on ASIFA (IRE) for being difficult to load. OSTAAD (IRE) commenced awkwardly losing ground. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of RAMONTI FLASH (IRE), R Hughes explained that in his opinion the colt would benefit by racing with a tongue tie. R Mullen, the rider of BLACK SNOWFLAKE (USA), which performed poorly, explained that the gelding raced wide without cover for the majority of the event and this did not suit BLACK SNOWFLAKE (USA). A post-race veterinary examination of RAMONTI FLASH (IRE), MUNDAHESH (IRE) and BLACK SNOWFLAKE (USA) revealed no abnormalities.
