GHAAMER (USA) proved difficult to load. Trainer Mr A Al Raihe (GHAAMER [USA]) was notified that prior to the gelding being entered to race again it must complete one satisfactory stalls test. OSTAAD (IRE) commenced extremely awkwardly and lost ground. JAMHOORI (GB) raced wide without cover throughout. DARKENING (IRE) raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of FILFIL (USA), Trainer Mr S Seemar explained that the colt was better suited to the All-Weather surface at Meydan rather than the dirt surface at Jebel Ali, which FILFIL (USA) had its last two starts on. Jockey R Mullen (PUZZLEMAKER [USA]) explained that the gelding “sweated up” in the parade ring, however, could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination of PUZZLEMAKER (USA) revealed no significant abnormalities.
