DUZAR (FR) was slow to begin. Mr M Al Jahouri, the trainer DUZAR (FR), was notified that a warning would be placed on the horse in regard to its slow nature from jumping from the barriers. Shortly after the start RAKED (FR) steadied when NASEEM AL REEF (AE) lay in. Near the 200 metres DUZAR (FR) attempted to savage NASEEM AL REEF (AE) to its inside. When questioned, Trainer Mr M Al Jahouri advised this was the first occasion the horse has behaved in this manner and it is now his intention to race the horse in blinkers. Near the 150 metres AL MOUTTAKEL (FR), steadied when AMEER AL REEF (AE) shifted outwards slightly. G Avranche, the rider of RAKED (FR), which performed poorly, explained that the horse, whilst not suited by the distance of this race, showed little dash throughout the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
