AJAJAH (AE) was slow to begin and trailed the field throughout. DURRAT AL REEF (AE) was slow into stride. AS KOHLA (AE) raced ungenerously in the middle stages. Passing the 600 metres SOUSSA (AE) commenced to lose ground quickly with AR MZOON (AE) being severely inconvenienced and carried back through the field. Apprentice S Al Mazrooei, the rider of SOUSSA (AE) advised that the filly was constantly changing stride in running and did not feel comfortable at any stage. AJAJAH (AE) was pulled up before the finishing post. T Durcan, the rider of AJAJAH (AE), reported that the filly was heavily in season and showed no interest in racing. A post-race veterinary examination of SOUSSA (AE) revealed no significant abnormalities.

MERAG ALAWDA (AE) was slow into stride. Shortly after the start AS FAYZ (AE) shifted in quickly. Shortly after the start AF AL ALMAA (AE) raced greenly and when making the course proper veered inward sharply. AF AL ALMAA (AE) continued to race greenly in the early and middles stages. Passing the 500 metres QAYED (AE) commenced to lose ground quickly, AL AREEN (AE) which was following was restrained and shifted to the inside to avoid QAYED (AE). AS FAYZ (AE), which was racing to the inside of AL AREEN (AE), had to be checked as a result. MANNAN AL REEF (AE) shifted in abruptly passing the 75 metres. A post-race veterinary examination of QAYED (AE) revealed the colt to be lame in the right-foreleg. Mr H Al Alawi, the trainer of QAYED (AE), was notified that prior to the colt being entered to race again he must provide a veterinary certificate of fitness for QAYED (AE). Following the race Jockey D Smith was examined by the Club’s Doctor, who notified D Smith was indisposed for the remainder of the meeting due to a hip complaint.
